- Soldering iron and solder specifically for electronics
- Wire stripper or cutters
- 9v battery
- Tape
Electronics
Of course, you'll need the Space Dice DIY Electronics Kit. 32 pieces:
- 1 PCB
- 3 IC chips
- 3 IC chip sockets
- 4 switches: 1 tactile, 2 vertical, 1 right-angle
- 2 electrolytic capacitors
- 3 ceramic capacitors
- 1 speaker
- 6 LEDs
- 3 resistors
- 3 potentiometers
- 1 9v battery snap
- 1 nut
- 1 bolt
3D Prints
The 3D-printed parts aren't technically required to make your Space Dice, but, of course, it's not nearly as fun without them. 12 pieces:
- 1 enclosure bottom
- 1 enclosure top
- 3 knobs
- 1 button lever + 1 actuator mount
- 1 LED display
- 1 side switch clutch
- 2 top switch clutches
- 1 speaker grill battery cover
Recommended
- Needle nose pliers
- PCB vice or “helping hands” holder
- “Solder sucker” or desoldering braid
- Multimeter for debugging
- Oscilloscope for learning
- Patience, patience, patience
